...for sport

I hit my Lotus balance board every morning before heading out. Keeps me in shape these days since I don't get to surf as often as I'd like to. I get better results with a vigourous 5 minute workout on the balance board than I do lifting weights at the gym for a half hour. My entire body feels the benefits of balance board training and it definitely helps my surfing and snowboarding....

... for life

I have been using the balance board as an integral part of a physical therapy program – 6 months ago I suffered a shattered pelvis and wasn’t able to walk for 3 months. The balance board—in addition to being a very entertaining, relaxing and painless form of therapy—is key in rebuilding overall leg and hip strength. More importantly, it does what other parts of therapy can’t do, which is work on strength and control the small muscle fibers that rapidly fire to keep your core aligned and centered—the same fibers that atrophied while I was on crutches and that I can’t rebuild just pushing weights. My physical therapist recommended a daily dose of balance board (along with a lot of other really painful things) as part of my therapy program—and for this part I was happy to comply!

Greg using his lotus balance board

I love the lotus balance boards. I started off slow finding my balance and being able to stand on the board. Now as weeks progressed I can stand on the board for minutes at a time. It really works your calf muscles and I am trying other exercise routines on it. This board is GREAT!
